and the storm terrible,
but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason

I so love your water photography. Very inspiring!
Hi Deb! I have been a reader of your blog for a long time but just recently have been coming nearly daily to see more of your water work. One of the blog commenters said recently that looking at your underwater/water work is poetry. I wholeheartedly agree. It stirs my heart deep inside.
I had a question about gear quick. You mentioned a couple days ago shooting with the d700 and the 35mm f/1.8 lens for your water work. That is a dx lens, right, for a crop camera? So it reverts to the dx crop in your d700 then. Have you found any issues with that? I am looking at a 35mm lens to add to my bag, not sure if I want to make the investment for the f/1.4 or stick with the f/2.0. Then you mentioned the f1.8 and I looked it up and saw it is a dx lens. So I was just curious how it performs on the d700. By the looks of your images, it performs flawlessly (aside from whatever issue you have that makes you have to reset it). Wasn’t sure about severe vignetting or something. Thanks so much Deb, and keep sharing your water work with us!!
hi laura,
when i purchased the 35mm, i wasn’t sure how i was going to feel about shooting at that focal length, so i opted for the (much) cheaper lens. i have come to love shooting with the 35mm lens and plan on purchasing the 35mm f/1.4 in the near future. the f/1.8 has performed great thus far, other than the F33 error, which i frequently get. when that happens, i manually put the lens to f/22 and that fixes the error, but when that happens in the water, it’s a huge pain.
hope that helps.
