since i was traveling (shooting in san diego and chicago) the first two weeks of september, here’s what 12 days in september looks like…
hanging out at the (closed) golf course.
new bikes.
purging and the birth of a growing goodwill pile.
TV trance.
the build-a-bear bed that charley loves to sleep in (even though he’s way too big for it).
more new friends at the horse farm.
goofing around (until someone usually gets hurt).
a few of her drawing spaces.
the joy of handmade cards.
his bottom bunk and hanging animal friends.
her taped american flag. and the surprise gifts she leaves me, which i love so much (even if his eye keeps falling off).
fun at a friend’s birthday party.
if you’re not familiar with the project, here’s the initial post with a bit of an explanation. there’s a total of 12 of us participating in “what _____ looks like”. i hope you’ll now head on over to stephanie’s blog to see what she shared this month — stephanie moore | tucson family photographer. and if you’re playing along with us or have your own monthly project, please share your link in a comment. i’d love to follow your project too. :-))
ETA: i just got out of the shower and this is how i found the littles, watching TV, of course. couldn’t help but add it to my ‘what 12 days in september looks like’.

love his bunk and all of the animal friends that hang out with him each night! i’m sure the little love notes bring you so much joy while you are away from home! looks like your 12 days together are filled with love and fun times!
Love how you captured the kids around the house. I need to do that within our time together with our group. It’s great to see the lifestyle pics from your short month in September.
Man, why can’t I seem to get this natural lifestyle feel down? You do it so perfectly, so effortlessly!
I love this. Your 12 days of September look like they were filled with fun and love. What I fun project — I love following projects. And as always, your photos are beautiful and so real. I am doing a little project following our journey as we build our new home….’as we build’.
we were in the city, but at different times. i love your house photos, you’ve inspired me to take more of the everyday…
Oh my! That last shot is my favorite. The positions kids contort themselves into boggles my mind. Your lighting, as always, is gorgeous and they are so so real. Love your details. Your daughter’s two-toned fingernail polish, and polka dotted socks. That tiny pig. It’s the little details that are easily forgotten. So glad you are documenting them.
Love these Deb, they’re so fun, and so telling of the moments that matter between you and your kids. I love Skyler’s gifts and Ryder’s stuffed animal collection. That first shot of Kiele looks so grown-up. When will I get to meet her?? Hope to see you soon, friend.
Man…I’m really getting jealous of all of you guys in this circle. You’ve definitely inspired me. Thank you for that.
Love all of these! Beautiful…Thanks Deb! You inspired my own what looks like…
