so you think you can dance
do you watch it?

if not, i highly recommend giving it a chance. this summer’s season is just getting started. i absolutely love the show!!

it’s about passion, dedication, determination, hard work, inspiration.
it’s the dancers.
and the choreographers.
that makes the show so awesome.

i get chills.
i get inspired.
i’m sometimes brought to tears.

they are artists doing what they love and are so passionate about. and it inspires me in so many ways.

this routine is probably my absolute favorite…

but i pretty much love every routine mia michaels choreographs…

Oh, how I love this show! LOVE! Such talent, determination, strength and beauty.
And I remember watching the breast cancer dance and bawling my eyes out. Gorgeous.

One of my favorites shows too. I was so so bummed last season when Mia decided not to choreograph – her stuff is always my favorite. Every so often I get in the mood to watch the addiction routine, and it always gives me chills. So so amazing.

Absolutely amazing. Wow. I have watched this show from time to time, and I do love it. I was a dancer as a teenager and into college, and to me pieces like this are what dance is about as an art form. Thank you so much for posting these.

Yeah, Mia is a beast.

I didn’t watch last season because she wasn’t going to be there.

I might give it another shot because there were some POWERFUL creations coming out of that show.

I LOVE THIS SHOW! I haven’t caught any of the new season yet, but once the competition get’s going I must! That piece is a favorite. I’m getting chills watching it again. Mia is a genius. The tribute she did about breast cancer survivors was AH-MAZE-ING. All of the choreographers are fantastic. The Mark and Chelsie Keep Bleeding was one of my all time favorites. I love Mark, then I saw him as a back up dancer at the Lady GaGa show. Ok you’ve got me on a rant. I’ll stop now.

I love it too, and they did this exact same performance on SYTYCD in the UK last year, so beautiful. The girl went on to win I think too!

Oh my. As a former choreographer, a women & the daughter of a mother who had breast cancer, I just felt such emotion watching that piece. And I have just been reminded that as a photographer I should photograph as deeply as I would have once choreographed. This post really meant something to me. Thanks for sharing. xx

I can’t get enough of this show!!! I have to many favorites to list, but Mia’s pieces are always at the top of my list! I wish Wade Robson was still on regularly! I always loved how funky and weird his stuff was!
